Philippa Gamse.
I’ve spent 30 years at the intersection of two things that don’t always sit comfortably together – data and creativity.
What’s always interested me is the interplay between the two: understanding what’s actually there beneath the metrics that look convincing on the surface, and then asking what that means in practice – creatively, commercially, and strategically.
That combination has shaped most of my work.
Over the course of my career, I’ve worked with more than 5,000 websites across industries, countries, and every kind of digital decision you can imagine, collectively representing hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue.
Some have been straightforward. Many haven’t.
What’s stayed consistent is the point where the numbers
look clear, but the implications aren’t.

I didn’t set out to specialise in that space.
My background is in analytics and website performance, but over time the work shifted — away from reporting on what’s happening, and toward understanding whether the conclusions being drawn from that data actually hold up.
What I became more interested in was how that data was being used, particularly at the point where people were about to commit to something significant.
That’s the perspective I bring into my work now.
Not tied to a platform, an agency, or a particular outcome — just a clear view of what the evidence does and doesn’t support.
Alongside that work, I’ve written two books on digital analytics and website performance.
Website Wealth, published in 2025, became an Amazon bestseller.
My books have been endorsed by Guy Kawasaki, Vint Cerf, Avinash Kaushik, Jim Sterne, and Dorie Clark.
I’ve taught at the University of Aberdeen Business School in Qatar, as well as Hult International Business School and Grenoble Ecole de Management, and have spoken across 30+ US states and in nine countries.
More recently, I’ve become a regular podcast guest, which I enjoy because it allows for a different kind of conversation — less structured, and often closer to how these decisions are actually discussed.
Sometimes a short conversation is all you need to understand your options.
A free, focused conversation about your situation and the website evidence behind it, and whether further investigation would be valuable. No obligation. No preparation required. No sales pitch.
